MEET THE AUTHOR – SH. MUHAMMAD IBN HESHAAM JAABER

Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Heshaam Jaaber
- Muhammad Ibn Heshaam Jaaber is a “forensic” historian with a special interest in Islamic, African and American History.
- He is also the son of the late Hajj Heshaam Jaaber who performed the final funeral rites of Malcolm X.
- As one of the eldest remaining members of the A.A.U.A.A. which is the oldest chartered Orthodox Islamic Organization in America dating all the way back to the 1930’s. Muhammad Jaaber has witnessed firsthand much of the history and evolution of Islam in America unfold.
- He is a lifetime student of knowledge with more than 50 years of combined research, training and practical experience in Arabic, Islamic Studies, History, Leadership and Dawah.
- He is the author of Color Me Muslim and Co-Author of I Buried Malcolm and the director of many historical forums such as 75 years of Islam, Muslims of the African Diaspora, Children of Abraham Lost in History and From Malcolm X to El-hajj Malik Shabazz
- Currently, Muhammad Ibn Heshaam Jaaber is the Executive Director of B.I.M.A.— Bureau of Indigenous Muslim Affairs Inc.
